Housing assistance

In France, students from all countries may receive financial aid for their housing. France is the only country in Europe to offer this kind of help.

The APL (Aide Pour le Logement : name of this help) is calculated based on the renting price and student's income. This aid is not automatic and its amount depends on your situation.

In order to qualify for this type of aid, make sure you meet the following three requirements:

  • You must have your own accommodation so that you can provide your address and the amount of your rent.
  • Be registered in the French social security system
  • Own a bank account in France, as the money is transferred directly to the student each month.
